As a company specialising in ophthalmic pharmaceuticals, we know that many of the patients who use our products live with conditions that affect their vision.

Using this website

This website has been built to support a range of access needs. You should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate entirely by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
  • Use a skip-to-content link (visible on focus) to bypass the navigation
  • Navigate using a screen reader, with page landmarks, headings, and form labels all in place
  • Use speech recognition software
  • Adjust browser colours and fonts without losing content or functionality
  • Access all content with assistive technologies; all images have appropriate alternative text and all form fields have associated labels

We also respect the reduced-motion preference set at the operating system level, disabling animations and transitions for users who have requested it.

How accessible this website is

This website aims to be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, which forms the technical basis of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) (EU Directive 2019/882), which applies to digital products and services offered to consumers in the European Union.

We are aware of the following limitations:

  • PDF documents: Carbon Reduction Plans and Patient Information Leaflets are provided as PDF. These have not been formally audited for accessibility and may not fully meet WCAG requirements. Please contact us if you need any document in an alternative format.
  • Contact form CAPTCHA: Our contact form uses an invisible CAPTCHA to prevent spam. In rare cases this may require visual interaction. If you have difficulty submitting the form, please get in touch by phone or email instead.

Technical information

The following measures have been implemented across this website:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks throughout, including header, navigation, main content area, and footer
  • A logical heading structure on every page, with a single top-level heading and consistent sub-headings
  • Colour contrast meeting or exceeding the AAA level (7:1) for body text
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Form fields with programmatically associated labels, required-field indicators, and inline error messages
  • Decorative images hidden from assistive technologies; informative images have descriptive alternative text
  • Screen-reader announcements on links that open in a new tab
  • Modal dialogs that trap keyboard focus and can be dismissed with the Escape key

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility concern:

  • In the UK: You may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
  • In the EU: You may contact the national accessibility enforcement authority in your country of residence. The European Accessibility Act (EU Directive 2019/882) requires each member state to designate such an authority.
